Merle G. Galemore

FOLEY , AL Merle G. Galemore, age 84, native of Greene County , AL and a resident of Foley passed away Friday, October 28, 2011. Mrs. Galemore was a former employee of Vanity Fair and later assisted her husband in operating Clover Farm Grocery, Uniontown, AL and A & M Grocery, Excel, AL. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Arven Galemore of Foley;  a daughter, Sherry (David) Allison of Mobile;  two sons, Harold (Marie) Galemore of Spanish Fort,  Joe (Sherry) Galemore of Los Lunas, NM;  four grandchildren, Amy, Lori, Traci, Chris Galemore and one great granddaughter, Laney Galemore. The family would like to give special heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff at Allen Memorial Home and to the nurses and staff at Odyssey Hospice in Baldwin and Mobile Counties.  The family also wishes to thank Gloria Lucas for being a friend to her and the family. A Graveside service will be held Monday, October 31, 2011, at 11:00 am at Memory Gardens of Fairhope, Fairhope , AL . In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of the South, 5644 Girby Road, Mobile, AL 36693 or charity of your choice.
