Andrew Dwight Weeks

SPANISH FORT, AL Andrew D. Weeks, age 97, a native of Auburn, NY, a former resident of Weedsport, NY for over 40 years and a current resident of Spanish Fort, AL for the past 23 years, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2011. Andy was a 65 year member of IBEW, Local 840, Geneva. He was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Weedsport Historical Society. He was an avid sportsman and talented artist and craftsman. He played semi-pro hockey for Syracuse, NY during his young adult years. While residing at Westminster Village, in Spanish Fort, AL, he was instrumental in rejuvenating the woodworking shop and helping to create artwork for the display cases and organize many special activities and holiday events that he participated in, over the many years he lived there. He maintained the numerous grandfather clocks, jigsaw puzzles and multitude of items for fellow residents and neighbors. He was proceeded in death by his wife of 50 years, Arlyn Scott, daughter, Linda Webster, and brother, Frank Weeks. He is survived by his son, W. Scott Weeks (Cheryl) of Weedsport, NY, four grandsons, Scott Weeks of Auburn, NY, John Weeks (Robyn) of Warners, NY, Andrew Webster (Kate) of Crown Point, IN, Timothy Webster (Mannie) of E. Lansing, MI, his loving sister, Jane of Greensboro. NC, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Private memorial services will be held at Westminster Village. The family will have private graveside services in Weedsport Rural Cemetery, Weedsport, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the Weedsport Historical Society, 8943 N.
