George Hillard Worthington, Sr.

FAIRHOPE , AL   George Hillard Worthington, Sr., age 90, a native of Mobile , AL , and resident of Fairhope , AL , passed away Sunday, October 16, 2011.   He was a US Army Veteran of WWII.   Mr. Worthington was an active member at Christ the King Catholic Church where he also was a longtime volunteer at their school.   He retired from South Central Bell and was a life member of VFW #5660.   George will be remembered as an amazing problem solver and a loving and kind person.     He is survived by his wife, Ruth Worthington of Fairhope , AL , Son, George H. Worthington, Jr. of Coral Gables , FL , Daughter, Teresa Walsh of Phoenix City , AL , 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, Other relatives and friends.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2011, at 11:00 am at Christ the King Catholic Church in Daphne, AL.   The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.   Interment will be at Memory Gardens of Fairhope.   In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donation be made to Christ the King Catholic School , 715 College Avenue , Daphne , AL 36526 or a charity of your choice.   ARRANGEMENTS BY WOLFE-BAYVIEW FUNERAL HOMES & CREMATORY, INC 19698 GREENO ROAD FAIRHOPE , AL 36532
