Joe Lucas Jones

SPANISH FORT, AL   Joe Lucas Jones, age 90, a native of Moorehead , MS , a former resident of Mobile , AL , and resident of Spanish Fort, AL, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2011.   He graduated Clarksdale High School , Clarksdale , MS in 1939, where he was known as a prominent football player.  He was a U.S. Air Force WW II Veteran, and a former employee of Brookley Field.  Mr. Jones was a 32 nd degree member of Masonic Lodge # 69, member of the Shriners.   He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Diana E. Jones of Spanish Fort, AL, Daughter, Cecelia Jones Quin of McComb , MS , Sister, Kathryn Walraven of Oklahoma City , OK , 2 grandchildren, Cynthia (Kevin) Clingan of Franklin, TN, Catherine ( Gary ) Holmes of Augusta, GA, 3 great grandchildren, Catherine, Patrick, and Caroline Clingan, all of Franklin , TN , Sister-in-law, Lou Ann Jones of Wheaton , IL , Other relatives and friends.   Graveside services will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2011, at 3:00 pm, at Memory Gardens of Fairhope.   In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the charity of choice.   ARRANGEMENTS BY WOLFE-BAYVIEW FUNERAL HOMES & CREMATORY, INC. 19698 GREENO ROAD FAIRHOPE , AL 36532
