Ruth Utsey Yates

FAIRHOPE, AL   Ruth Utsey Yates, age 86, a native of Aquilla, AL, and a resident of Fairhope, passed away Monday, October 3, 2011.   Ruth was a graduate of Millry High School.  She was formerly employed with the USAF-SMAMA-McClellan AFB in California.  She was also a member of Daphne United Methodist Church.   Mrs. Yates was preceded in death by her husband, Nathan T. Yates, parents, Gaines and Thelma Utsey, sisters, Vivian Flynt, Jacquelyn Flynt, Vera Robertson, brothers, Joseph Utsey and Frank Utsey.   She is survived by her sisters, Loui Saunders, of Fairhope, AL, Barbara Stevens and her husband Jack, of Mobile, AL, brothers, Mack Utsey and his wife Frances, of Biloxi, MS, W. J. Utsey and his wife Mary Jean, of Millry, AL, Ray Utsey and is wife Lurlie, of Mobile, AL, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.   Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope, Friday, October 7, 2011, at 12:00pm.  The family will receive friends from 11:00am until the service time.   Graveside services and interment will be held in Mobile Memorial Gardens, Friday, October 7, 2011, at 2:00pm.   In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to World Harvest Mission, Bundi Nutrition, 101 West Ave. Ste 305, Jenkintown, PA 19046-2039, www.whm.org , or the Daphne United Methodist Church, Building Fund, 2401 Main Street, Daphne, AL 36526, www.dumc.org .   ARRANGEMENTS BY WOLFE-BAYVIEW FUNERAL HOMES & CREMATORY, INC. 19698 GREENO ROAD FAIRHOPE, AL 36532
