Randolph Preston O'Connor

DAPHNE, AL Randolph Preston O’Connor, age 95, passed away Thursday, August 04, 2011, at his home in Daphne, AL.He was a native of Glasgow, VA and has resided in Daphne, AL since 1941. He was employed by Johnson O’Connor General Store and later retired from Alabama Dry Docks and Shipbuilding after 23 years of service. He was an avid sailor and golfer, a member of the city council, and served as a deacon at Daphne United Methodist Church.                                                                                                                                                      Preston was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Eleanor Johnson O’Connor. He is survived by his son, Dr. Randolph Preston O’Connor, Jr. of Augusta, GA, daughter, Pamela O’Connor Yeager of Selma, AL, grandchildren, Dr. Randolph Patrick O’Connor of Acworth, GA, Samuel Preston O’Connor of Fairhope, AL, Samantha Yeager Gardner of Daphne, AL, great granddaughters, Erin Leigh O’Connor of Dallas, TX, Kaitlyn Shea O’Connor of Acworth, GA, Margaret Eleanor O’Connor of Fairhope, AL, nephew, John P. Johnson of Summerdale, AL, other relatives and friends.
