SPANISH FORT, AL. Thomas Evans Weatherford, age 55, a native of Mobile, AL and a resident of Spanish Fort, passed away on July, 13, 2011 at his home is Spanish Fort. Thomas “Tommy” was born in Mobile, AL on March 26, 1956. He spent his early childhood in Mobile and Montgomery, moving with his family to Spanish Fort at the age of 10. He attended Marietta Johnson School of Organic Education in Fairhope and later became a licensed hair stylist. He went on to receive an Associate Degree in computer technology at Southeast College of Technology. He was the owner of Weatherford’s Hair Salon in Mobile during the 1980’s and later owned a shop in Daphne. Tommy worked for several years in Atlanta, GA and in recent years worked at Fantastic Sam’s in Daphne. He was a great animal lover, particularly of dogs and was devoted to his two Chihuahuas, Alex and Toby. He was a lover of the arts and was a talented artist himself in several disciplines including drawing and painting. Tommy had a wry and infectious sense of humor that will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jennings Waller Weatherford and Mary Ruth Sikes Weatherford. Tommy is survived by his sister, Linda (Michael) Sullivan and one niece, Christina (Trey) Evans both of Daphne; one nephew, Mark Hirschfeldt of Mobile; great nephews, Jude, Asa, Gabriel and Dominic Evans, as well as many cousins. A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, July 16, 2011 at 5 pm at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne. Flowers are acceptable as well as donations to The Haven, 559 S.
