Kristopher Kyle Thorn

DAPHNE, AL   Kristopher Kyle Thorn, age 28, a native and a resident of Daphne, passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2011, after a long hard battle with Crohn's disease.   Kristopher was a member of the Daphne United Methodist Church and a 2001 graduate of Daphne High School.  He spent time as a deckhand with Sea Bulk Towing on the  M/V Mobile Point until falling ill.  He was an avid fisherman, a proud member of the NRA, and had a love of flying.  Kristopher was very proud of  his two brothers' Marine Corps career, and dreamed of someday joining them.   He is survived by his parents, Kim and Kyle Thorn of Daphne, brothers, Kendell Thorn and his wife Melanie of Daphne, Kolton Thorn and his wife Ashley of Cherry Point, NC, nieces, Addison Beasley and Ellie Thorn, maternal grandparents, Paul and Dell Wilcox of Opelika, AL, many aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.    Kristopher was predeceased by his papa, O. L. Thorn, and his grandma, Doris Thorn.   The family will receive friends at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Daphne, Friday, July 1, 2011, from 5:00 pm until 7:00pm.   Funeral services will be held from Daphne United Methodist Church, Saturday, July 2, 2011, at 3:00pm.   Graveside services and interment will follow in Jubilee Memorial Gardens, Daphne.   In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the "Kristopher's Gift" memorial fund at any RBC Bank branch.   ARRANGEMENTS BY WOLFE-BAYVIEW FUNERAL HOMES & CREMATORY, INC. 27409 U.
