Voncile Woerner

ELBERTA, AL Voncile Woerner, age 80, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, friend of many and a resident of Elberta, AL passed away Sunday, June 12, 2011. Mrs. Woerner was born in Elberta, AL on June 18, 1930. She generously shared her love with not only her family, but to all who had the pleasure of being her friend. She leaves behind a legacy of rich memories and humorous thoughts for those who knew and loved her. She will be missed by her children and friends as well as the many friends whose lives she touched. She is preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Herbert Woerner, two brothers, George and Daniel Hodges and one sister, Doris Gardener. She is survived by her three sons, Gerald Woerner of Elberta, AL, Bruce (Judy) Woerner, Pensacola, FL, Doug (Becky) Woerner of Baton Rouge, La and one brother, Claude. She was "Grandmaw" to Kristie, Chris, Jason, Kandy, Kevin, Rachael, Kelly, Kim, Mandy, Amber, Matt and AJ. She is also survived by 24 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and numerous nieces, nephews, and other friends and family. The family will receive friends at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Foley, AL, on Thursday, June 16, 2011 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm. Funeral services will be held from Genesis Church, Lilian, AL, on Friday, June 17, 2011, at 10:00am.
