FAIRHOPE, AL Edward Charles Brueggemann, age 62, a native of St. Louis, MO and a longtime resident of Fairhope, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2011. Ed was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. He was a loving husband, father and a great friend to many. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed spending time in his flower gardens, reading and studying. Ed was a volunteer at the Waterfront Rescue Mission. He was a local pharmacist for over 35 years. He was a graduate of Auburn University Pharmacy School. Mr. Brueggemann was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Brueggemann and Cecilia Brueggemann Wood and stepfather, Reed Wood. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Frances B. Brueggemann of Fairhope, two sons, Karl Brueggemann of Birmingham, Eric Brueggeman of Fairhope, three daughters, Sarah Brueggeman of Birmingham, Leah Casey and her husband Mike of Atlanta, GA, Kate Cecilia Brueggemann of Fairhope, one granddaughter , Ava Casey of Atlanta , GA , many other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Thursday, June 16, 2011, at 11:00am. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00am until the service time.
