Lavonia Deer

FAIRHOPE, AL Lavonia Deer, age 76, a native of Uriah, AL, and a resident of Point Clear, AL, went home, Sunday, June 12, 2011. She is survived by her daughter, Marie Sluder of Point Clear, AL, 4 sons, Terry Deer of Fairhope, AL, James Andrew Deer of Fairhope, AL, Eugene Deer of Phenix City, AL, Kenneth McDowell of Spanish Fort, AL, 16 grandchildren, And 30 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Andrew Deer. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 13, 2011, from 6:00pm to 8:00 pm, at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Fairhope, AL. Graveside services and interment will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at 9:00 am, at Brook-Cedron Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to The Dwelling Place in Fairhope, AL, and Covenant Hospice in Daphne, AL.
