Donald Allen "Duck" Gunnison

LOXLEY , AL Donald Allen “Duck” Gunnison, age 73, a native of Mobile, a longtime resident of Fairhope and a current resident of Loxley, passed away Friday, April 15, 2011. Duck was the owner of Gunnison Builders for more than 20 years.  He retired after many years working in the construction industry. Mr. Gunnison was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Iva Gunnison. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Marlene Gunnison of Loxley, sons, Kevin Gunnison and his wife Jacque of Huntsville, Todd Gunnison and Tori Miller, of Fairhope, daughter, Shea Gunnison Reed and her husband Ricky of Silverhill, grandchildren, Britt Allen and Amy Brooke Gunnison, Hunter and Miles Gunnison, Tanner Reed, great granddaughter, Talyn Gunnison, loyal K9 companion, Scooter, and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held from St. John’s Episcopal Church, 22764 Highway 59 South, Robertsdale , AL 36567 , Monday, April 18, 2011, at 1:00pm.  The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00pm until the service time. Interment will follow in Montrose Cemetery . In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to St. John’s Episcopal Church, 22764 Highway 59 South, Robertsdale , AL 36567 .
