James Thomas "Jimmy" Hamrick, III

FAIRHOPE, AL   James Thomas “Jimmy” Hamrick III, a native of Mobile and a long time resident of Fairhope, passed away Wednesday, March, 30, 2011.   Mr. Hamrick graduated from UMS, then attended the University of Alabama.  After college he joined the Navy and served for 2 years aboard the USS Bache.  Afterward he returned home and joined the family business, Hamrick Motor Company.  He is best remembered by his loyal customers and employees as president and owner of Hamrick Toyota. He was an original sponsor of the Mobile Masters Golf Tournament.  Jimmy enjoyed all the Mobile area had to offer.  He was active in a Mobile mystic society and enjoyed hunting and fishing in the outdoors.  He was also an avid Alabama Football fan.   He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Nell Franklin Hamrick of Fairhope, daughter, Hallie Nell Eberlein and her husband Patrick of Cartersville, GA, sons, James T. “Jimmy” Hamrick IV and his wife Patricia of Mobile, John P. Hamrick and his wife Leslie of Summerdale, sister, Thyra Mae Layden of Mobile, grandchildren, Patrick and Ryan Eberlein, Kathryn, Elizabeth and Meredith Hamrick, Sydney and James Nash Hamrick, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.   The family will receive friends at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope, Friday, April 1, 2011, from 5:00pm until 7:00pm.   Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope, Saturday, April 2, 2011, at 2:00pm.   Interment will follow in Memory Gardens of Fairhope.   In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to Youth Reach Gulf Coast, 25062 County Road 38, Summerdale, AL 36580.   ARRANGEMENTS BY WOLFE-BAYVIEW FUNERAL HOMES & CREMATORY, INC. 19698 GREENO ROAD FAIRHOPE, AL 36532
