Mary D. "Pat" Howard

FAIRHOPE, AL   Mary D. “Pat” Howard, age 98, born in East Hampton, MA and a resident of Fairhope, passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2011.   Pat married John, the love of her life in 1941 and moved to Miami, FL in 1945 and spent summers at their Seneca Lake cottage.  John had his business, Howard Aircraft, and Pat had hers – their five children and later their six grandchildren.   Subsequent to John’s death, Pat moved to Fairhope in 2003.  Pat was a devoted Catholic and lived her life accordingly.  She was well loved and cared for by the staff at Carroll Place and Mercy Medical Hospice.   Mrs. Howard was preceded in death by her husband, John Howard and her six siblings.   She is survived by her daughters, Susan Howard of St. Petersburg, FL, Laura Russell of San Francisco, CA, And Kathy Howard of Daphne, Sons; Dan Howard of Miami, FL, And Andy Howard and his wife Sara of Fairhope, grandchildren, Elizabeth Lynch, Jennifer Dreese, Adam Balaban, A. J. Howard, Michelle Howard, Will Howard.     Funeral mass will be held at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Fairhope, AL, Friday, February 25, 2011, at 11:30am.   In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to Eastern Shore Affordable Houses, P.
