Jacqueline "Jackie" Quinn Barncard

FAIRHOPE , AL Jacqueline “Jackie” Quinn Barncard, a resident of Fairhope , Alabama , made her peaceful transition on February 12, 2011.  Born July 7, 1925 and raised in Sturgis , MS , Jackie attended Mississippi State College for Women.  She met and married Robert “Bob” G. Barncard who preceded her in death.  Married 61 years, they lived in Illinois , Nebraska , Kansas , New Jersey , and Atlanta , Georgia before retiring to Baldwin County . They loved sailing and were members of the Fairhope Yacht Club.  Jackie was an avid Atlanta Braves fan.  She loved supporting the arts and had volunteered at the Eastern Shore Arts Center . She is survived by her beloved son, Stephen Barncard, grandchildren Derek and Laura Barncard, all living in the San Francisco Bay area; her brothers  James (Jimmy)  and Dale Quinn of Mississippi; her “Chosen” daughters, Nancy Trant and Susan Berent of Daphne, her “extended family”  Linda and David Steger of Atlanta, GA, and nieces and nephews.  The family would like to extend their appreciation for the loving care given by Dr. Michael L.
