FAIRHOPE, AL Roderick Earl Sledge, age 47, a life long resident of Omaha, NE, passed away in Fairhope, AL, Monday, January 17, 2011. He is survived by his mother, Betty J. Jackson of Fairhope, AL, father, Norman D. Jackson of Mobile, AL, son, Matthew Sledge of Omaha, NE, brothers, Marion (Corlette) Sledge of Mobile, AL, Melvin (Jannika) Sledge of Montgomery, AL, Norman E. Jackson of Fairhope, AL, sister, Brandy (Elijah) White of Robertsdale, AL, aunts, uncles, a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held from the Good Samaritan Sanctuary, Saturday, January 22, 2011, at 11:00am. Mr. Sledge will lie in state at the church from 9:00am until 11:00am.
