Charles Hudson Moore, Jr.

DAPHNE Charles Hudson Moore passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2010 in Fairhope at the age of 75. He was a member of Christ The King Catholic Church. He was a native of Mobile and a graduate of McGill Institute and the University of South Alabama. He taught in the Mobile County School System for a time and retired as a Sergeant of Campus Police at the University of South Alabama. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating on the Bay. Mr. Moore was a Army Reserve veteran. Charles is survived by his wife: Marilyn O'Connor Moore of Daphne; two sons: Charles H. Moore, III of Daphne, Brian D. Moore of Mobile; one daughter: Allison (Ralph) Gatrone of Alexandria, VA; two brothers: Walter Moore of Daphne, William Moore of Mobile; one sister: Beverly Cortright of Spanish Fort; 2 grandchildren: Gregory S. Moore and Janice Moore, both of Daphne. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 3, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Christ The King Catholic Church in Daphne. Interment will follow at Belforest Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, January 2, 2011 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne. A Rosary service will begin at 6:30 pm.
